Bijananda Chabungbam
Bijananda Chabungbam is a Joint Secretary to the Government of Manipur and a Manipur Civil Service officer of the 2015 batch, having topped his batch. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Prior to joining the civil service, he built professional experience in the private sector across technology, sales, and management, working as a Software Developer at HP, Area Sales Manager at Amul, and Area Manager at Algorhythm Tech. This multidisciplinary background has contributed to his practical and solution-oriented approach to public administration.
Over the course of his government service, he has held a number of significant assignments, including Sub-Divisional Officer, Thoubal; Under Secretary in the Power Department; Officer on Special Duty in the Grievance Cell; Joint Secretary in Personnel, Minority Affairs, and OBC & SC; Joint Director in Minority Affairs and OBC & SC; Project Director, MOBEDS; and Staff Officer to the Chief Secretary.
He is recognized for his commitment to public service, analytical ability, administrative versatility, and team-oriented leadership.
